The machine tool maker never envisioned anyone would try it. The customer had no idea how this could be done. With a little creativity, a lot of patience and years of experience you find that most everything is possible. We had to run this slowly and couldn't take much material but there weren't a lot of options to create the radii needed that close to a vertical wall. Horizontal was not an option since the demand was for a crisp step at the edge of this surface.
